Super Scout

The Three Brush SuperScout is the ultimate in design and construction.
It combines the adaptability of touchless, high-pressure washing for irregular size vehicles and the three brush roll-over truck wash.
TOTALLY SELF-ACTING
Once the SuperScout wash program is selected and the machine is started, it does not require an operator. The large gantry on floor mounted tracks moves over a standing vehicle using a combination of chemicals, high pressure, and the friction of the top brush to clean the tractor and trailer.
Steinless Steel Construction
The SuperScout has a newly designed, simplified frame constructed of stainless steel tubing and angle iron. Aluminum sheeting (.040) covers the frame. All components are easily accessible for maintenance. Aluminum sheeting (.040) splash shields around the side brushes prevent excessive water spray. All bolts, fasteners and rivets are stainless steel.
SuperScout Stainless Steel Frame: It will remain intact when other machines have rusted away.
The life span of this frame is at least fifteen years.
FAST
The Three Brush SuperScout has two PLC controlled variable speed drive motors that substantially increase the speed of operation from 0 to 100 FPM. This improved design greatly reduces maintenance problems by eliminating the electric brakes.

UL LISTED ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS
The electrical system is encased in two panels. One panel is located on the driver side of the gantry; the other is located in the equipment room. The system is composed of the finest available standard components. The most up-to-date PLC — a programmable logic controller — commands all operations from its protected place in the equipment room. It has a large memory and telephone modem capabilities. All components are approved by Underwriters Laboratories®.
Water softener (Optional equipment)
Cold and fresh water can be processed through a water softener if conditions require.
Water heater (Optional equipment)
The SUPER SCOUT uses hot water during the chemical wash cycle to maximize the effectiveness of the chemicals. This is provided by a 200,000 BTU gas fired hot water heater.
All Electric Operation
The SuperScout is equipped with four (4) stainless steel electric motors. Brushes are controlled with motor/gear reducer sub assemblies. The other two are controlled with AC Frequency Inverters.
Top Brush Lift Assembly - This assembly contains all the components necessary to lift and rotate the top brush. All variable speed current sensing SmartBrush technology.
Side Brush System - This system controls the rotation and pressure of the side brush against the vehicle’s side.
The Spraybar Assemblies – Driver side, passenger side and roof spraybar assemblies control the high pressure water and chemical application to the vehicle. Air cylinders provide toggling front and rear for maximum coverage.
Brushes Designed for Maximum Coverage – Polyethylene, extra heavy density brushes featuring flagged ends are mounted in 12” rubber segments. The side brush diameter is 42”. The enlarged brush diameters afford better coverage with less damage to vehicle accessories.
PLATFORM MOUNTED PUMPS AND MOTOR CONTROL CENTER (MCC)
The high-pressure, wash water and chemical pumps are mounted on a factory assembled and tested platform for easy installation. The air valve manifold and motor control center are similarly mounted on the same platform. This reduces on-site plumbing and electrical work.
High Pressure Pump
The high pressure pump used is specially made for this application and rated at 80 gpm @ 300 psi.
Wash Water Pump
A wash pump provides washing chemicals mixed with fresh water at 15 gpm to the gantry blaster/chemical bar.
Chemical Metering Pumps
A diaphragm type, adjustable chemical metering pump injects wash chemicals into the wash water when required. The pump control panel receives signals from the gantry and the pumps are started. A separate chemical line runs from the equipment room to the wash unit.
The optional second and third metering pumps would be used for extra power for rear door cleaning.
